If you could put together a huge concert-and have anyone perform there (dead or alive), who would you invite to play??? What would make the ultimate dream concert for you??? curious to see the replies!

Mine would have to be a festival, and the bands woul have to play in this order starting at the top:

Dead Prez
Magma
Battles
Mogwai
A Tribe Called Quest
Aphex Twin
Django Rheinhardt
Mars Volta
Miles Davis
Sigur Ros
Pink Floyd

(It's not necessarily my "favorite" bands, I just think it would be a nearly perfect line-up and juxtaposition and would illustrate how similiar ALL music truly is)

I'd have it be Ozzfest/Mayhem Fest like.

Main Stage:
Mushroomhead
Amon Amarth
Primus

Second Stage:
Thy Art Is Murder
Decrepit Birth
Dying Fetus
Fair To Midland

Third Stage:
Born of Osiris
Thrown To Belial
BassHunter
T-Pain

Yeah, that would never happen in a million years but that would be my dream concert.

Joy Division
Jeff Buckley
Stevie Ray Vaughan
James Brown - Had a chance to see him, but I was too young and stupid to realize what I was missing out on.

I saw a good one about 5 years ago, it was Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, and Thursday. Great, great show, probably would have been my dream show at the time.

My dream concert now:

Minus The Bear
The Receiving End of Sirens
Circa Survive
Fall of Troy

In no particular order, but a day-long fest:

-So Many Dynamos
-Young Widows
-Minus the Bear
-Circa Survive
-Battles
-Brand New
-Red Sparowes
-Russian Circles
-Radiohead

Actually, in that order.

I'd start the day with Fat Freddy's Drop, then we'd move into Bob Marley and the Wailers, then we'd move into the romantic evening sunset with Gregory Isaacs playing with the Roots Radics (Style Scott on Drums and Flabba on bass), from there the light show would turn on with Easy Star All Stars featuring guest performances by Toots, and short set by Toots and the Maytals which would lead us into the funk section of the evening. That would start off with the JB's and James Brown, followed by the Meters (original lineup), then a special guest set of the original members of Funkadelic (including Eddie Hazel and guest performances by Jimi Hendrix on guitar). Then we'd get into the the jamming section of the night. Jimi would stay on the stage and join Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, and then he would stay on the stage for a set with Phish. Jimi would also stay on the stage for a set by Mars Volta, and then he would bow out for the headliners of the evening which would be Pink Floyd (including Roger Waters but minus Syd Barrett muddling things up). That would be a good weekend.
