My favourite hobby apart from bass, guitar, and drums is rather boring, its football (or to most people reading this, soccer :P). What's yours?

TalkBass. I'm kidding! I love to play soccer, but I also like swimming in the pool, going to the beach, playing snooker, tennis, basketball, or watching TV.

I am also into modeling. I used to do airplanes, with weathering, dry brushing and wash techniques. Haven't done any HO stuff, but this winter I did complete Revell Germany's 'North Atlantic Trawler' model successfully and it came out nice. Last year I used every waking hour off work to fix my house so I lost a year.

Next up will be the Silja Lines Finnjet ferry, similar to the ones that service Turkuu to Stockholm and Helsinki to Riga. I found that I typically try to prepare some projects in the summer by (spray) painting the parts when the air is the warmest and then assemble in the winter.

The last few years have produced an 1/24 scale plastic F-15, an A6 Intruder, A-10 Warthog, a balsa P38 Warhawk with 27" wingspan, a Fokker D7 in balsa, and various other small projects. In the 90's I completed a 3 foot high 6 sided lighthouse dollhouse from scratch with no plans. I installed working lights and a scratch made model circular stairway.
I ended up having to relearn some trigonometry to calculate some parts of the project.

Waiting in the wings I have a plastic DC-6 (Loftleider [Icelandair] markings), a b25 Liberator Pacific based, numerous cars in the shed, a balsa Corsair, and a model of the schooner Bluenose. That will keep me out of trouble
for years to come.

Aside from that I spend way too much time reading escapist literature, noir and such. I have cut back a lot on hobby time though as work has been pretty all consuming the last few years.

I'd really like to spend more time at the workbench making some stuff that will outlive me.

I did a lot of that a few years back as well. I actually got pretty damn good if I may say so myself. I wish I had the time to get back into it... any pics, Thor?

I knew it was a model because we don't get blue skies like that around here this time of year.
