Who did you see last? Was it good, bad, meh? Talk about it.

I'll start.
My last concert that I attended was Clutch, Puny Human, and Priestess. It was on New Years Eve in Baltimore.
I took my g/f. We started the night with a few burgers at Five Guys. Then we went to the show. I had never heard of Priestess or Puny Human; I was there for Clutch.
Puny Human came on first. I have to admit; they were really good. I found myself lovin' their sound.
Same goes for Priestess. They were a very good band.
Then Clutch came on. I've been digging Clutch since Passive Restraints. I have to say; I was disapointed, as this was the first time I had heard the "jam band" style Clutch. They were very good and I will probably buy some of thier newer stuff. I liked it a lot. But I was really hoping to hear, "A Shogun Named Marcus" or "El Jeffe Speaks" or Passive Restraints" or some of the older, metal stuff. The new stuff is good; it's really good. But I wanted old school Clutch. But I am still a fan. Just in a different way now.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Best concert I've been to in 5 years. Fantastic. Visually mesmerizing. Far exceeded my already lofty expectations.

Same here. Second only to Alice Cooper back in the early 80's. One heck of a stage show!

The Police in Atlantic City.
They were awesome!!
I knew they were coming to town but was bummed because I just couldn't afford the darn tickets..
Then my sister in law ended up coming through. Through some business connections, she ended up landing 3 tickets, complete with limo to/from the show, a free room and a free dinner before hand! It was great, I could get spoiled by stuff like that.
They sounded as great as ever, it was so cool to hear their stuff live again after so many years.

Last concert I saw was Tool in December. T'was my first time seeing them. I loved the hell out of it, I took my wife, she feel asleep for one of their longer, spacey jams. But she still loved it. I was surprised how good it sounded for an arena.

but my most recent Jazz concert was in the summer.

It was so musically satisfying, especially because the arena sound was TIGHT! No awful hall reverberation muddying everything up and masking all the details, yet still thumping with the heavy parts. I took my earplugs out after one song and never put them back in. And that's so so rare for me and my paranoia to keep my hearing intact for a career in music!

I also know that next year, I'll get the exact same seats because it was a stellar view of the lasers overhead. Like watching a holographic fishing net waving over your head! And were were maaaaybe 10 feet away from the scissorlift platforms that carried Chris and Alex 20 feet up with pyro and fog and CO2 steam flowing off it....

MAN that show was perfect in every way. I'll never miss a performance from now on. Every time they come to town, I'll be there.

Velvet Revolver and Alice In Chains in mid August. 10th friggin' row. My cousins ended up getting picks from Jerry Cantrell, Mike Inez and Slash. The people directly in front of us got a autographed Slash hat. I sadly didn't catch anything. But still a great show. William DuVall did a very convincing Layne Staley. The coolest thing, was the fact that Slash had 3 wahs set up on different parts of the stage, so he could use it stage left, center stage or stage right.

The last show I attended was Within Temptation in September. I had been waiting for years to see the them live. During their first song, my ex-wife called me to say that our 13-year-old daughter never came home from school. Of course, I left the show to see what I could do to find her. About an hour later, the Sheriff finds her at a friend's house. She took it upon herself to try and spend the night at this friend's house without notifying anyone... ON A TUESDAY NIGHT!!! Needless to say, she was in big trouble.

I thought about going to that very same show actually lol. Although I have no idea who Puny Human are and ive only heard 1 song from Priestess. How was the food at Five Guys? They have one close to where I live (in White Marsh, not sure if you went to that one or not).

Staying on-topic, my last concert was Ozzfest. It was awesome, except for all the wannabe metalheads who were only there because the tickets were free.

Brian Setzer's Christmas Extravaganza. I've been going every year for the last 5 years - it always gets me in the Christmas spirit. The last 2 years I've been joined by my 9yo daughter.
