Typically go to My Talkbass to see all the things I've subscribed to, and then New Posts. Browse through there, and then peruse the classifieds. Repeat ad infinitum. I rarely go into a specific forum like Basses, Effects, etc.

Usually 'New Posts', unless I want to check out the Upright forums. You have to go directly to the upright forums because there's about 20 BG posts for every one URB post in the 'New Posts' list.

I refresh "My Talkbass" several times a day to check for new posts in subscribed threads. Then I check the "For Sale: Bass Guitars" and "For Sale: Amps and Cabs" forums for GAS.

If I still need more after that, I check the "New Posts" link.

I click on "my talkbass"...and check subscribed threads...then I click on "Forums" right under the talkbass logo at the top of the page...I click on my username that is first on the list under "currently active users" and then click on "find all posts..." to see if anyone responded to a particular post or in a thread I'm not subscribed to.

Then it is just randomness.

I've been the "First" reply on some of the threads in the FX subforum today. Yeah...that was probably getting a little annoying so I walked away to give it a rest....

I read the threads that interest me...often times a thread will make it more than 5 pages and I haven't even looked at it...then I open it to see what all the fuss is. In those cases I usually refrain from posting...since someone has no doubt already beaten me to the point I would have made.

When the activity slows...I'll head to the Accessories, and other Classifieds.

I go straight to OT and read everything that's new that I'm interested in.

I check in on threads that I've posted in, but that's about it

This is probably closest to what I do as well.

I just refresh OT. I only just started working part time since getting here so I haven't had much of a life outside TB, lol.

i set up my talkbass to only check new post about:

- basses
- off topic
- miscellanous
- luthier's corner

that brings me 200 to 300 post everyday and it's always too much for the time i have to spend.

And each week, if i missed sucribed topics evolution in new post, i check them.

no rhyme or reason here really. I just post stuff, then maybe check back in a little while to see what stuff other people have posted if the thread is showing new posts.
I also just refresh from time to time and check anything that might seem interesting.
