Youtube blues..

Anyone else having trouble with watching videos on youtube lately? The videos would load like 2 seconds at a time and keep freezing every 2 seconds. Takes like 5 minutes to watch a 1 minute video. Everything else works perfecto as far as I can tell and only Youtubes giving me trouble lately.

Lately I'll turn on videos of tutorials for FL studio, find something else to do, turn come back and try to resume watching. Now what I'll do is find what I like, go to keepvid and claim it so I can watch it from my. Hard drive at my own schedule.

Not to hijack, but anyone else having issues with videos buffering on YT? I have a slow internet connection and I used to be able to let a video sit for awhile and buffer all the way through, but now it only buffers a little and stops, making watching anything a lesson in patience. Is there some kinda setting I'm missing?

I have exactly the same problem as you. No idea why either.

I find it's 50-50. Some video's play with no problem while others do the freeze up that's been mentioned. And what's up with those damn advertisments?!?!?

Actually this was kind of what I was talking about in the OP. Usually if a videos loading slowly I let it sit for a while on pause and browse TB or something but it neber buffs more than 2 seconds of a video at a time. Anyone know when there going to fix this? Been going on for at least 3 days for me... I think.

Same here, for the past few days. I've also noticed a spike in pre video adverts.

Browser would help. I can't watch YT in IE for that reason.
I got Chrome, and YT works fine, for the most part.

Yeah, the ads are getting annoying.

I have also been noticing both the troubles buffering and also the increased ads. I'm glad to know it wasn't just me. Il have to try the different OS but it is happening in both Internet Explorer and the YT app on my iPod.

I was trying to watch some videos on repair and maintenance to help a buddy out. Did not work for me at all yesterday.

By the way don't blame YouTube for the ads, blame the posters. You can easily post any video to YouTube without having ads, it's an option at upload, people are just trying to cash in, personally I hate the ads.

As for the speed and buffering issues, I've found different servers act differently, the same when uploading, some fast, some slow. It's really a throw of the dice they have such a larger server farm at this point. If you're having problems try a refresh or copy the link into another browser or window/tab.

My youtube feed is fine.
Sometimes, it is youtube server issues. Sometimes, it your internet provider's heavy network activity. Sometimes, it is your home's network connection that's slowed down by someone who has hacked into your wireless router and using up bandwidth.

But, I'm a member of the Illuminati so... you know... privileges and stuff.

No bueno for IE nor chrome. It's even worse today than it was the other days. Usually a video would start playing right after the ad but now it takes about 10 seconds AFTER the ad to start playing.
