Has anyone noticed that a couple of weeks ago TV ads featured the full name of the film while recently the movie's title has been shortened to "Zack and Miri"? This past weekend while I'm watching sports, I noticed the change. I suppose it's smart marketing.
Anyway, I just saw a story that says the director is Kevin Smith: http://www.reuters.com/article/newsO...49R7UD20081028
I wonder why in the ads I've seen Smith is not mentioned?
Looks like it could be funny.

Kevin Smith fans already know this movie is coming out, theyre trying to bank on the sell-ability of Seth Rogen & Elizabeth Banks, who are both pretty big right now with the whole Judd Apatow comedy scene. By not advertising it as a Kevin Smith movie theyre trying to bring in all of these Apatow fans who will see it, if not just for Seth Rogen. Im a big fan of Kevin Smith movies myself (Jersey Girl excluded) so I've known about this one for a while. Actually they removed the 'Make a Porno' part of the title in a lot of places for censorship reasons. I read that one city cites it as illegal to have the word Porno on a city advertisement (like a bus stop poster). Initially the posters had a clothed picture of Rogen & Banks, made to look like they were going down on each other, but the censors rejected it and they redid the posters with stick figures. A lot of interesting facts. Smith is a good director, I like Rogen, Banks is hot... should be a good flick.

There could be a movie with Seth Rogen taking a dump and it would be huge...
These guys are what like Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Owen Wilson were 5-10 years ago...
I don't predict a blowout in the box-office, but it will at least pay for itself and make those involved some decent coin.

That's roughly one hundred people going to see it, or less than a full room in a multiplex.
I would be very, very surprised if this movie didn't at least make back its money, what with the followings that Kevin Smith and Judd Apatow have (Not to mention Apatow's last seven films have all made at least three times their budgets in gross). |

Maybe it will be a "guy" movie because of the (former) title.
I hope it does pay the bills. I don't recognize the director or anything about it myownself.

I'd like to see it, because I love most Kevin Smith films and I think Seth Rogen is hilarious.

That's is a pretty smart idea if you ask me.

That, or it's just too long...
