Anybody know of freeware that i can take the vocals out of songs? I need to practice my singing to impress the ladies.

A better option would be some software that would allow us to zap out the vocals on chicks.

Actually, pick any audio editing tool and EQ the voice out. That's what the fancy boxes do.

cool edit pro/adobe audition had a center channel extractor. it had an option for vocal remove. it messed with the rest of the song, but most of the main vocals were gone.

I've done it in the past with adobe audition. The free version (at the time) had a couple of weeks before expiring, maybe even a whole month. It worked, although it leaves a few audio artefacts behind, nothing too much so as not to ruin your vocal practice.
