How is the internet on both? Who has better apps? Who has more apps? Better support? Which is better?

Considering the Zune, imo, is garbage, I'd pick the other one...tho I'm no Apple zealot... sure there are some nice features on the Zune, like the hd screen, but the interfacing and glitchy software reports I read everywhere are a turnoff. And I have no interest in HD radio.

I went with the touch, since I couldn't import the 4000 songs I had in itunes to the zune.

There is only like a 22$ diff. between them, so if support is better with the apple (actual americans on the phone) then I will go with it. I am not fond of microsoft's support.

The iPod Touch beats the Zune with one arm tied behind its back.

iPod touch, I have the 16gig, love it. Have had it over a year, I still have fun with it. Works perfectly after a year. Anytime I had issues with iTunes, I've had excellent customer service.

I don't think you can go wrong with Apple.

iPod Touch has all the app awesomeness of the iPhone. There's your winner.

Yeah and without the $70 a month phone bill!
Plus if the zune has so many complaints, and you know the iPod touch is popular so support and assistance would be easy to find...I vote iPod touch 100%.
I'm typing on one now

Neither. You want one of these:

http://www.archos.com/products/imt/a...t/hdmulti.html

As a portable video/game toy to get through some long rides/flights, the iPod does fine, but there are better options. The Archos 5 is far more useful as a portable storage device, and they don't irreversibly encode the living crap out of anything you put on them. Files and music/video can be dragged on and off like it's a thumb drive. Try that with an iPod. When it comes to a portable music player, if any device other than an iPod behaved well with my Macs, I'd sell it today and buy an Archos.

If you want something that will run apps and surf, just get an iPhone.

lets face it. when has Windows ever been better than Mac except at price, usability, and thousands more programs?

No, I dont own a Mac. Too much hype involved in that price... I would get one if it was cheaper though, just to play around.

iPod, hands down.

I've played with a friend's Zune for a while, the menus are bulky and confusing while the iPod's controls are intuitive and easy to use.

Yes, I'm an Apple fanboy, but my first hand experience tells me the Zune is garbage, not brand loyalty.

My general opinion on the iPod/Zune battle.

The iPod Touch is a better device than the Zune, however, any iPod product that is not a touch is a far worse product than the Zune. Easy to navigate interface, really intuitive controls, more hard drive for your buck, plus a larger screen with a much better resolution than the iPod. I have a Zune and I like it better than any iPod that isn't a touch.
