Beatles

Has anyone here listened to the Beatles "Love" album? If you're a fan then this is a must-have for your collection. I am absolutely stunned by what I've heard. This started out as a show for Cirque du Soleil(sp?) but when they heard how good it was they decided to release it as a CD too. George Martin and his son definitely deserve their props on this. Check it out. IMO it truly is a work of art.

Being a Beatles fan, I'm a little scared to check this one out.

But I probably will anyway.

I saw the show in L.V. Lots of fun and some real goosebump moments. The sound system was incredible; speakers built in to every seat!

I'm not a huge Beatles aficionado, but I really dug what the Martins did. It could only have been done who knew the music so intimately. We broke down and bought the soundtrack (along with about $100 worth of other stuff) at the gift shop; glad we did.

I'm a big Beatles fan too, but I love this CD. Yeah, there's a little bit of monkeying, gimmickry, and remixing in it -- but not a lot, and I suspect that Lennon and McCartney wouldn't have been bothered by any of it.

What IS amazing is the way the original recordings have been cleaned up. I've simply never heard clearer, more transparent recording playback of a lot of my most loved old Beatles songs.

To put it another way, if you're a fan of the Beatles music itself, as they performed it, I don't think you can get a better commercial recording of these songs, 95% of which haven't been touched by the producers except to make the recording sound more true to life.
