| I'll be there. I only saw Elvin once in '98 or so in L.A. at the Jazz Bakery. It was a shame; there were only about 20 people there. My girlfriend at the time, a non-musician who had no idea who she was seeing, had a serious impact from watching him perform. "He plays from the heart" she said. I used to listen to "A Love Supreme" every Sunday. He had such a non-technical way he approached the drums that got to the essence of what music and rhythm were really about.
