"is that a FISH ?"

inspired by the big thread about 'cellos...

i have a student on elec.bass who numerous times has spoken of the instrument by calling it something that starts with B, rhymes with "pass". i'm always a little too shocked to say anything.

I bring my 5-string to work on Wed and Friday b/c I have to leave work and head straight to my gigs. Last Friday I need to leave 25 minutes early, so I ask my supervisor if it's cool. He asked, "Are you going to play the bass (fish)?" He's from Morocco and loves to fish, so I just laughed and said something about it being too slimy to hold. He laughed too!
