Hug somebody special today -- and mean it!

Dear Fellow Thumpers,

Please hug those close to you today, and always, always, always wear your seatbelts. I came very close to losing Mrs. Wineaux on Saturday when another driver pulled out from a stop sign and tried to cross the highway in front of her. The impact was violent enough that Jodie's car rolled three times before landing on its wheels. She was rushed to a trauma center but other than some nasty bumps and bruises, she was OK and was sent home that night. Amazingly, our dog lived through the whole thing as well. The other driver also escaped serious injury, so there is plenty to be thankful for. I can't wait until she feels well enough to pick up the mandolin again, but right now I'm just treasuring the fact that she is here.

Be well, all.

my wife went through a horrible auto accident 2 years ago. if i may offer some advice, please in the coming weeks and months, keep a very close eye on your wife for signs of concussion. sometimes these sign don't show up right away, but can weeks or months later.

a couple of weeks after the accident, my wife started sleeping in the middle of the day. would ask me a question, and then a few hours later, ask me the same question, over and over. then came the irritability, sleeplessness, and depression.

Sounds terrifying!

The line between 'here' and 'not here' is alarmingly thin, isn't it? Its easy to forget that fact in this day and age of conquered diseases and ever longer lifespans.

I'm glad you got your sweetheart back whole and healthy.

Blessings! My wife totaled our car when she was about 8 months pregnant with our boy, Del. They are both fine and I'll make sure to give them a little extra sugar today, which happens to be our 13th wedding anniversary.

It's a good reminder not to take things for granted. I'm glad that Jodie and Fidaux are okay.

Good heavens!

Take good care of that girl, Wineaux. I'll do the same on my end, thanks to your reminder.

Blessings

Happy to hear everyone is doing fine. Take care of yourselves and of course be happy and joyful. We take so much for granted. The fact is tomorrow is not promised and it is so important to cherish those you love always.

All The Best

Trey

Yep! Might have to change the dog's name. This one is too good!
