Jazz In Las Vegas?

I'm going to be taking a short vacation to Las Vegas just before Thanksgiving (Nov. 24-28). I'll be staying at the Alladin, but the Blue Note doesn't look too promising for those dates. If you know of any "Must Hear" groups (or bassists) in town on those dates, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Thanks...

This link might help you to find what you're looking for - http://www.vegasjazz.org/
There's a "Calendar" section there which might be of some use to you.
Other than that, I'm afraid I can't help. It's been a while since I've been to Vegas. Good luck!

Look up Pete Barbutti (http://www.barbuti.com -- and, yes, the nose-piano guy from the Carson show) and tell him the I sent you. He'll remember me if you tell him that he played Toledo a bunch of times with my dad (Gene Parker) and me. He'll know what and where and who to talk to. If he's playing in town you should catch him as well. Great guy and funny as hell.

Thanks!

Thanks XavierG - That site looks very promising.

Thanks Ray - I saw Pete Barbuti as the warm up act for Frank Sinatra several years ago. I always liked his "hoover" routine. I'll try to contact him when I get there.
