Jazz Photos by Herman Leonard

Guys - I just heard about Herman Leonard tonight on NPR's "All Things Considered". Herman Leonard is the photographer that took all of those great shots of Dizzy and Charlie Parker back in the day. Unfortunately, he was also based out of New Orleans and it seems that some of his work has been lost. Thankfully, he managed to put most of the prized negatives into a vault so hopefully he'll be able to reproduce them. Apparently, beyond the process of taking such good photos, much effort has to be placed in the Dark Room to make the photos come even more alive.

Anyways, check out it. There's some nice photos of Ray Brown and Oscar Pettiford too if you look in the Image Gallery section.
