Maybe we do have a stick up our....

Alright, so I know what I'm getting into here, I can't believe it myself, but I'm going to say it. It's possible, just possible that we TBDB's in fact aren't quite as much fun as our bratty 14 year old EBG cousins over there on the other side.

I rarely go over there, but I posted my HostBaby vs BandZoogle question over there thinking that I might get a better response (I got nothing, by the way), but it forced me to watch their threads for a few days and I even got caught up in a few. Mostly Misc and Off Topic, but they have some fun and totally irrelevant threads going over there.

First of all it's weird, like going to a new school on the first day or getting invited to a party where you don't know anybody. I feel like i know you guys. I can almost predict which of you will respond to this and how. But, their off-topic discussions cover a much broader set of irrelevant topics than ours. True, there are more kids over there, true they have us outnumbered, true most of us in theory have better things to do, but I have to admit that I had a nice little visit this week. We may need to shake things up a bit.

Aside from the "Favorite Taquiria" and "Favorite after gig food" threads, I couldn't think of many really good worthless off topic discussions over here for a while. They're debating the validity of the moon landing over there!

But, it's good to be home. Back with my people.

Troy

P.S., I was overwhelmed with my choices on "Favorite Taqueria" and never responded even though I feel quite passionately about it. In Seattle it is a place called Muy Macho in a neighborhood called "South Park". I used to live in Texas though and I had a bunch of favorites, some of them were trucks that set up under an overpass. It would take a lot of me to go on record on that question, but I'll print out all of the replies for when I travel.

What kills me is that much of the most worthless and confrontational crap posted over there isn't from the 14 yr. olds. It's from older guys with obvious ADD issues. That's pretty sad. And then, when that doesn't get them enough attention, they bring it over here.

Ever tried baiting 14-year-olds? It's great sport.

Well we might have a stick, but its a beautiful, well-tuned Brazilian Rosewood stick with spectacular tone, and its placed exquisitely on the rhythm in a very musical way.

To be honest Troika, I'm way too old for the kids over there.
We questioned the validity & the veracity of the moon landing in 1969 already - why aren't they questioning the veracity & validity of the Iraqi Occupation in a meaningful way?

Geez, I spent a lot of time as a kid at the US Consulate in Toronto singing 'Hey, hey, LBJ, how many kids have you killed today'.

Kids these days: sheesh.

TroyK: Glad to have you peeking over.

mchildree: Yeah, EB has it's share of users who insult others, sad... Reminds me of something i saw few minutes ago... But what, just can't put my hand on it... Can you help me? Still, we have Qintar and pile driven heavy NTB, what accomplishments do you have?

Jake: There is a debate about Iraq? Really though, reason why not is because mods close it down... As far as a moon talk, it started as a joke in area 51 thread, i said that the area was mainly used to stage the fake moon landing... Then someone though it was serious and went all homeless on us... I take full responsibility for that moronic site.

Manji: 14 year olds are no fun, they can punch back and break my nail... I only beat on 11 year olds, it's more manly.

Welp, it's been good seeing what's going on in the opposite multi-verse. I'll see you guys again once i finally get my DB.

The BG side is always good for a laugh. Just don't expect any serious discussion to last for more than half a page.

Yeah it's quite funny (ironic) that this might have been meant as an insulting post - but it's so badly-written, that it ends up being nothing more than gibberish!

Hey at least we got better things to talk about than "those old guys over on the DB side" or the "Good Ole Days" before porn!
