Musicians Charity

Hey guys -

I am from the Bass Guitar side and hope you don't mind me posting this over here. It is for all musicians!

----------------------------------------------

We are about a week from launching the website!

We bought another web addy. While none of the links or anything work yet you can view exactly how our website will look by clicking here...

www.helpingmusicians.org

We all agreed that it was very easy to remember gets directly to the point as to what we do.

And YES! That is our bro Mike Fredericks on the front page. We felt that since he was the inspiration for this whole thing that he needed to be represented prominantly on the site!

Our paperwork is filed and in a few weeks we will be 100% legal. We are officially called and will be known as:

Musician's Relief and Scholarship Foundation, Inc.

Our Current Officers/Board:

President - Mike Winnen
Vice President - Tom Bowlus (also our legal counsel)

Members of the Selection Committee:

Mike Winnen
Tom Bowlus
Ken Jung
Adrian Garica
(I have a PM out to the final person now)

Please stay tuned as we will be ready to go very soon.

We need Grass Roots Volunteers to do some e-work for us. If you are interested in donating some time to help get the word out email me at volunteer@helpingmusicians.org

Thank you to everyone who has helped or contributed in any way. I am eternally grateful to each of you!

We once had a discussion about how come the government lets great musicians live broke and struggling in their old age, and I suggested that it's not the government's job to take care of older musicians who are struggling and people who are upset about it should set up their own foundation. Nice to see someone taking it upon themselves to do it. Best of luck with your foundation and congratulations for doing it.
