Please explain!!!

I was sitting here tonight and was going through the listings for electris and acoustic bass, nad came to the conclusion that alot of the hard core upright players don't have much respect for the electric bass. Please understand that there in no way any disrepect for anybody, electric or upright, but why is this so. I play both, mainly in a jazz and pop setting, but I'm begining to venture into the legit side of music. I was just wondering. Thanks.

I think you need to understand two or three concepts - sarcasm, self-deprecating humour and exasperation with attempts at being "wound up"! I think that about covers it...?

I am not trying to be a Richard Cranium but . . .
How come these threads always start with "I was looking through the old posts and . . ."

How come people never find the threads about this topic. Maybe these should go into the newbie lists.

Sorry. I probably spelled crabby bass players wrong in the thread search.

GP- I know what bukkake means! That's way harsh. Also way funny. I guess you're getting a personality again.

Ouch! All of a sudden, and for no reason in particular, I just realized that I will probably never partake of yogurt or cottage cheese again for the rest of my time on earth.

Oops! I meant to move this to DB Off Topic. Duh...

If any of the most helpful mods should happen to stumble on this, please zip this over to DB OT when you get a minute.

Thanks!

I don't think anyone will actually answer that here, but a quick Google search will answer your question.
