Talk about an iconoclast. His guitar playing skills were amazing as his ability to cover all kinds of genre's. There's even a pretty good album of him Swing with a full big band orchestra. I guess he arranged the entire thing.
Looks like he finally succumbed to lung cancer and heart diesease after so many years of smoking tobacco and reefer. He was never into modern medicine and was suspicious of it.
Anyways, I'm gonna be bummed for the rest of day listening to his stuff.
