Skipped Practice

Fall has officially arrived, even here in Texas (early, too). I skipped practice yesterday; didn't play one single note and didn't work on any compositions either. Instead, I brewed 15 gallons of beer and made a killer apple pie with some of those great fall apple from NY an Vermont. Should I feel bad about this? Nah...

I wouldn't feel bad at all. In fact, I skipped practice yesterday (though I had a performance) and spent the day enjoying my first real Massachusetts fall day. The weather was crisp and the leaves are violently red and falling. I don't think I should feel bad about this either...

Enjoy your pie. Them apples are made well in these parts.

I generally insist on taking one day off a week, presuming the other days have seen me working enough.

It's okay, fcleff.... now you've got enough beer to get you through the weekend.

PS... those Vermont/ upstate NY/ Mass apples are indeed da bomb. It's like they're turned up to "11".

How about CT? Their apples go to 11, too!

Man, I haven't met an apple from anywhere in the northeast that doesn't go "one louder".

Marcus, it's too bad that beer takes about 4-5 weeks to prime for drinking. If your ever in A-town drop me a line and I'll drop you a brew. :P

Yes, maybe I should have said, "enough beer to get you through a weekend" .....thanks for the invite, I've never been down that way so far.

It's all ready to drink and man, is it good. Nothin' like a dark homebrew on a cool night.

Hold the phones! I got to stand up for the Washington Apples. No disrespect to the NE and I'm not trying to start a East Coast/West Coast feud that ends with one of us getting shot outside of the Video Music Awards, but we've got some mighty tasty apples up here in Washington State.

The beer sounds great, though. I'm going to have to do that one of these years. Or come visit Austin.

This is true. I have had many a tasty apple from the northwest.

Yes, do come visit because my beer will always flow to a TBDBer.
