Aw man, Ed and Ray, was I that forgettable?

So far, I've met:

Foghorn
Ghostbuster
Crackhousey
The currently one handed bass player from Dallas (after the trimmer accident)

Damn, and that was fun too. 3 bassplayers ganging up on a poor defenseless alto player. Sorry big man, my bad!

No worries from here. I know I'm missing someone I've met as well, but I can't remember who. Someone when I was playing in Austin or Dallas I think.....it was a slabber.

That was a lot of fun, btw. It was a few years back, but it was great getting to play and meet y'all. I just wish I knew more tunes without reading. I don't know if I told you guys, but that specifically started me down the path of getting off the page as soon as possible.

Good deal. As a youngster I found that I couldn't play beans when I had my head in the page. Now that I'm 'older' I can BS it to a certain extent, but it still holds true.

Let's see (and I hope to Christ I don't forget anyone):
Fuqua

Fred Weidenhammer
Mike da Mook
Olivier
Mike Savino
Marco Panascia (JazzBass72)
Had Chris Fitz's preamp for a little while via snail-mail.

Did I miss anyone?

Anyhow -- all great guys. Except ED!
(kidding)
I'm planning on being in NYC in the Fall on some bass business, and I will contact everyone in NYC/Jersey or any other place near enough to warrant a drive to meet any players/luthiers who frequent this board (with the exception of Ray Parker, who forgot he ever met me)

Jesu Cristo! And you are the first I ever met here -- long before there was here! I should never try to demonstrate my memory!

On another subject -- met a lady (tourist) on that Sofia's gig that I mentioned (in that damned post) that is from your area and she knows of you. I sent back some greetings

How did she look?
Thanks for sending back the greeting.....Hey, I like that Jesu Christo term. I may steal it,
Thanks and I'll see ya in the fall!
And don't forget....I was one of the first people to give you a HARD push to move to NYC!!!!! Much to the dismay of a bunch of other NYC Bass players!

And I will drive you door to door to Arnold's place. My Jeep knows the way, I don't even have to steer. Vineyards. Horse farms.

The only problem being that mine is a no-smoking vehicle.

Ray, do you still smoke? I do.
A chance to hang with Dono and Arnold and whoever else wants in.....I would gladly do whatever has to be done to make it happen. Even curtail my smoking!
Anybody interested in a SERIOUS BASS HANG in the NYC area in the Fall (i'm thinking early Oct.) I'll need to be there for about a full month, and I want to see some Fall colors. This'll be the first time i'll have had the chance to sight-see. Every time i've been there it involved playing every night.
I'm really looking forward to seeing and hearing everybody....even Fuqua!

Still smokin. A whole month? That'll be cool as hell! Where're you going to be staying all that time? NYC-TB'ers, myself included, will make sure that you know everyone that we do.
