Trying to find bass and oud duet from 2001

Hey all,

Sometime in the weeks following 9/11/2001, I saw on television a memorial service in a large church or cathedral, which I'm pretty sure was in NYC or Washington, DC. There was a performance of improvised music in a jazz/Middle Eastern style, by a double bassist and oud player, and I found it very moving at the time. Since then I've wondered who the musicians were, but have been unable to find any clues. Does anyone remember this, have any guesses, or anything else that might be of help?

I'm pretty sure it's not the "big" memorial service at the National Cathedral--or if it was, it didn't make it onto the official program.

It could have been Dave Holland and Anouar Brahem.
They recorded a trio album on ECM called Thimar with saxophonist John Surman. Great music.

A shot in the dark, but I know Avishai Cohen has worked with oud players. That's the only one I can think of.
