...that's the singer

Tzadik -- very nice looking bass you've got. Love the edges on the top.

Thanks. I loff it too. It's been a wonderful instrument for me. Very sturdy and just perverse enough that it thrives on the occasional abuse.

If I ever need another one, I hope I can get another of the same make.

(Unless I win lots of money, in which case, I want one that's a million years old, sounds and plays like hulking-smooth, dark chocolate, and has a carving on the headstock that looks like my horse's oh-so-majestic mug.)

Now that you mention it, that is funny - most people I know (myself included) claim to have that same problem...

My mom asked for a photo of myself playing bass, so I took this earlier yesterday. Just thought I'd share, as not much else is going on around here before school starts again.

Andy, Thanks for setting me straight.
Yeah, this is definitely the best music room I've had, hopefully I'll be able to keep it for a while.

Thanks!

me and American Standard #731

I've been putting this off but here goes

http://www.americanstandardbass.com

scroll down until you see #731 (convenient, eh?)

Please understand that my bass does NOT have a deer rack grafted onto the pegbox. That's just good composition by whomever took the picture. <G>

Us bass players grow off pretty big here in North Carolina.

That's not usually what comes to mind when I hear the words "nice rack!"

Then I'd say Howard really appreciates a good air-bass solo.

There aren't many good ones, but I'm glad they're appreciated
