Really, I'm only 5'7" and I have no trouble getting around on it, although I don't spend a lot of time in thumb position. Working on that though.

Monte
8.0" and 7.5". It's all the way down to 7.5 by the top of the lower bout.

Yay! I'm the first girl to post in this thread!

I have two to share with you: one's with a EUB (I thought I might as well, seeing as it is the DB forum ), and one's just me.

Me with Geoff's EUB (it's a carruther's BTW)

That bass belongs to my music teacher/drummer/good friend's bassist from his jazz band, and my first go on a DB. I had really short hair then, about two years ago.

Cut to now-ish:

Me with my TalkBass shirt on!

We should get a DB smilie, I feel a bit odd using this one for this forum

WOO-HOO LOL - nice one!

I was just reminded of something - I have the complete session reel audio from "kind of blue" , and after the master take of "blue in green" is finished, Miles says, "Wake up, Paul!" LOL [Paul Chambers, of course for all you newbies]

Oh yeah, I'm about 5'1", so he'd be at least 6'12" or something like that.

a 2001 Christopher DB304F5 Hybrid Busetto with Low B. Remember all of those posts of the Chrissy in huge needs ofsetup with no luthier in this country? That's me!!! I'll be back in the states in a few months though.....

I love the feel of a fiver.....I am also curious about trying one with a high C.

Here's another photo of it from the front, before I put on the MPM tailpiece and guts.....bass looks small, but it's quite big, I'm just ginormous myself.

Non-existent. I tried to create one (gasp!) with the few players around here. Most don't care much to do anything beyond wedding gigs and playing the same 10 tunes, and others laugh at my concepts (fusing Greek rhythms and standards to Jazz etc.)

Time to return to NYC, I've had enough. Not even a luthier here, my bass needs a lot of work. i have tendinitis or something like that, I can't play well anymore, I need a doctor. I shall return to Brooklyn by next year.

Man, that that bass has some serious shine!
You sound really bummed out....HANG IN! You probably think you can't play well any more because there's nobody to play with. I've been there!

anyway, get use to the mug... I hope to be around this side of life picking your brains soon!
