What is worth selling your soul ?

Hello all,

after reading on Niccolo Paganini on wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niccol%C3%B2_Paganini ) it said "A pervading myth about Paganini is that he sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for his fearsome technique, a rumor which he delighted in and may have even started himself." ( its on wikipedia so its not 100% true anyways).

well it got me thinking, what in your opinion, if anything, is worth selling your soul for. Could it be "fearsome" techniques? having magic powers?

lets hear it !

There is never a reason to sell anyones soul. Life is to short to waste it on it. Selling a soul for his 0-80 or so years of his life time (maybe more) is nothing compared to eternity. It is a verry small portion of it. It would be stupid to waste.

Not unless you're atheist or an existentialist. I want some monster chops, where do I sign up?!?

C'mon, even if I had a soul selling it for any skill just shows that you have a psychological issue about self worth to the point that you have to give up your soul just to feel special. *shrug*

Besides, where's the challenge in that?

hmmm...that site doesn't work! Too bad, I wanted to know how badly I have devalued my soul over the years!

I don't see a shred of difference between "sell your soul for fabulous technique" and "eat anything you want and lose weight while you sleep". Anything to get out of hard work and practice.

You rang? Actually, to me, the term SOUL refers to ones personal integrity... but the more commonly held use of the term refers to an existence & after life & all that rot. But, whether you believe in a diety or not, ones personal integrity is valued by athiests... & should not be discounted.
