Have you guys ever checked this site? You can find there an unbelievable amount of drums videos from solo performances to band performances (i think about one with ed thigpen and ron carter).

Why don't we, upright folks, have this kind of inspiring site to feed ourselves on? And, anyway, how did they get all those videos and their rights?

Anyone interested in starting that sort of thing for acoustic bass? I dont think it already exists ( even if you can get some video clips and personal bassists' sites ) and, i mean watching other musicians play is so interesting, especially for us who play upright as it is such a phisically demanding instrument...

I go there all the time. I focus on Bass as my main priority, but I also play drums to rid myself of tension (hitting things is soooo much fun after a long day of school :P ). I'd recommend the battle between Steve Smith and Victor Wooten (go to Steve's page, and the video is there)
