Nah. But it's got enough of a responsive EQ to serve me just as well on bass. The cab is kind of dark to begin with, so it sounds just as good as a bass amp!

I was reading on that mod looks like the way to go you can save a ton of money and have a killer setup I want to look into it before the sale is over.

The mod is a reistor or two, a cap, and a wire leading to the MV, along with the faceplate. If you think about it, he charges $90 for a new faceplate. So essentially the mod is only $30 since I believe he charges $120 for it. You could always buy one of the heads and ship it to him, he does the mods that way as well!

the band i play bass for is Northern.

those recordings are all svt with some sort of distortion on them. i forget what i was using back then. probably some sort of modded tube screamer. The new recordings we are half assed in the middle of will be using the meatsmoke.

Cool man.... Stu @ TheHive did some of my band's mastering, and I just figured we probably know a bunch of the same people out in raincity if you own some of the Olde Crow stuff, haha.

I scored a meatsmoke pre off CL locally this weekend. Been messing around with it all weekend, sounds really sweet.

Reminds me of my old harmony 30 combo, but better and grittier.

Definitely a cool (not so little) preamp.

Man that was a score I was happy with the sale price of $524.00 but the regular price of $699.00 was much higher so I'm very happy congrats on that gotta love them good deals.
