However, bypassing the preamp and using the MS as my preamp sounds fantastic, I sent mine back to Ben to have a voltage switch installed so I can use it for overseas shows (when I don't have access to my normal amp). And the two weeks it was gone everything just sounded so...meh.
Everything is better now that I have it back home. |

See, I have the Genz Benz SL-900. I think it routes the effects loop through the preamp as welll. I do have my MS-pre routed through the effects loop. I'm going to keep trying things because I know it's good, I just don't hear it yet.

That's not what settings I use, just a great starting point for finding the tone that works best for you. |

| | | | nice link. make more sense. not as to why they behave that way but at least as to the way they do behave in real life.
in verellen news, i'm having make me a new pedal. a modified big spider. it's going to take a couple months he says. should be pretty rad if it works out like i want. (i'll probably have a my regular BS for sale when it shows up if anyone is into that type of thing)
also, not sure if i outlined my effects loop pedal i have him build for me. basically it's just a channel switcher for my meatsmoke but with an effects loop built into it so that it activates only on the distorted channel. i like to boost up the dirty channel and didn't want to have to hit multiple pedals for dirt. it rules.
every time i've emailed ben to be like "can you make this thing that exists in my head?" he just says yes and figures it out. it's awesome. |

Just picked it up from the post office. First impression: IT'S HUGE! That's a MacBook Pro 13" standing next to it for reference.
Now I just need to solve the huzzle regarding it being the wrong voltage... |

I will see Ben next week. I'll mention to him that he should put that disclaimer on the purchasing page so overseas buyers can ask about getting the pedal modded for their home country.
I think I read somewhere that another person in this thread emailed ben and got instructions on how to mod the pedal themselves for the increased voltage. I would definitely shoot him an email.
