[help] LS-2 mod or some pedal that can do the same

Sign in to disble this ad
hi,

do anyone knows of anyone that can mod a Boss LS-2. recently i am streamlining my pedalboard to be gig/tour friendly and decided that i need a LS-2 that can do A (clean)+B (wet - m9 +others) > B (wet), currently LS-2 only does A+B > Bypass.

my current set-up is complicated using a LS-2 and a B.Blender and stereo R+L on the M9 , etc..etc.. to get the desired results and if i simply have the A+B > B, i save all the pedal cables headache, tap dancing and simplify the set-up.

any recommendations and tips?

ergbass yeah i got that one "cloned" and i use it together with the LS-2 but i intend to save some board space and do a A+B > either A or B switch options buffered with volume control.

Could you not make A + Bypass your wet signal and B the clean instead?

I asked Max at SFX to design that for me, for exactly this purpose, and it's a brilliant little box. Highly recommended.

So what you need is a simple blender that instead of bypassing the entire effect, routes the signal though the B channel in bypass mode? In effect, switching a pedal between either clean blended or 100% wet?

You might be able to pull this off with a simple one loop blender and re-wiring the switch. Looks lke that SFX Loop Logic would boost the overall volume with both channels on which the OP probably doesn't want.

I guess it does, but practically it's a good solution - I don't see how you can combine two signals without an increase in volume.

It also has active volume controls on both returns so you can tweak it.

You can adjust the volume controls so that the levels right with both channels on, but turn a channel off and won't you get a volume drop?

A simple blender like a Barge VB-Jr with the switch re-wired to route the signal through the fx loop instead of straight through when in bypass mode should fit the needs perfectly unless I've got the wrong end of the stick!
