[How To?] Effects technical/geek/scientific testing

Sign in to disble this ad
How to do it ?

I read that some of you use pink noise generators and pro tools and with these [and probably other] to graph freq response charts and what whatnot..
What i am interested in is WHAT DO YOU NEED to perform tests like this because i would like to do some.

So if anyone knows please post the tools and software you need. If you have tested post your setup as well.

Thanks

For starters, a simple digital multimeter can work wonders in the right hands.

Beyond that, a signal generator (you could probably find some free software to do this) and an osciliscope are the next step I guess.

You may want to PM bongomania. He did a lot of frequency testing lately in an effort to test differences in cable frequency response.
