I'd call this list very subjective.

NO. THESE ARE THE BEST. IF YOU HAVE ANY PEDALS NOT ON THIS LIST, YOU SHOULD SELL THEM IMMEDIATELY. OTHERWISE...YOUR TONE SUCKS.

If you take "best" to mean "most popular", which most top N lists are, then it is not a bad list.

Although I can't understand why the tubescreamer is not #1.

But the buffered bypass in the TU-2 is an important part of my sound!

Yep - playing in tune is not an effect but it is a STOMP BOX - which is what the list is about.
Go in the effects forum and look for threads about what effect to buy first and a tuner gets mention a lot - but you are right - it ain't an effect. NOW GO SCREAM SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I'm surprised the Keeley Compressor is not on there. IME, that is one of the most well received guitar pedals.

Seeing the Klon Centaur so high on the list makes me think it was written by TGPers

I've never touched one, but really it does represent the beginning of significant 'Boutique' pedals gaining credibility.

The Big Muff wasn't even in the top ten, so this list is stupid and the list compiler person(s) is/are stupid.

Truth. A few at the top make quite a bit of sense. TS808, Cry baby. But how the big muff, uni-vibe, rat, and maybe even the dyna comp aren't at the top as well make no sense. And i'll give you the comment on the keeley compressor, where is that at?! No TimeFactor either... It's neither the most popular nor the best... I'm not sure what they were going for, so I'm gonna give it a big ol FAIL stamp. On the otherhand, makes for a great re-make thread. Best 101 Basspedals as decided by TB. (would need a very substantial poll.(and i'm not doing it))
