105q bypass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone did a bypass mod/ had a schematic for one ?

Basically my Issue with the automated bypass is that theres a latency (for lack of a more accurate term) where after the wah is used its muddy for a second. I understand in more modern 105q's there a trimpot that can be adjusted to minimize this , though not completely eliminate. I'm using it after a fuzz which really emphasises the slow bypass.

What I'm proposing/looking for is a mod that eliminates the automatic bypass and to install a switch at the end like a much more traditional wah. Any comments or potenetial issues?

Weird I've never felt this after turning the trimpot inside, it was pretty bad before though

Mines older. There is no trimpot. Even the more modern ones have had some latency on those that I have played with-even with adjustment.

There's a long thread about this here - Is it possible to true bypass a Dunlop 105Q?

If you have an old one - like mine from '98 - you have no trimpot.
So you'll need to change a resistor, to make the pedal stop the wah effect the instant you step off it.

well i bought the dunlop 105Q...

Have fun.
