2-channel compressor hookup

Sign in to disble this ad
I searched the world over and then I found ... nothing ... so am posting a new thread:

I'm very confused about the 2-channel equipment available - especially compressors. Bongo recommends an Ashly CLX. The CLX-52 is a 2-channel compressor. How would I hook this up in my rig:

Single channel preamp to a two channel power amp to two separate cabinets.

Where would it be best to put a 2-channel compressor? Is a 2-channel best for this rig setup (into a 2-channel power amp) or should I just go with a 1-channel?

My desire for compression is to have more attack but absolutely no coloration to my very fine bass.
