So, I'm thinking of putting a true bypass loop pedal inside my EHX Holier Grail. The side of the pedal that has the switch on it is pretty much empty. I'm thinking of putting a switch directly above the existing switch, putting the in's and out's along the bottom strip of the pedal, and running an LED off the 18v power supply. Good idea? Thoughts?
Will I be able to power an LED for the Looper off the 18v power coming into the holier grail?

From what I've read, this should be about right? |

I use 2.2k resistor for 9v with no problems. Seeing as you've got 18v, I'd start with something higher, say 5k or more, and work you're way down. As you go lower the light may get brighter, too low and 'poof'. LED's contain arsenic, you don't want them to poof, and you don't want to inhale when the do. |

After punching in some numbers, I came out to a 680 ohm 1/4 watt resistor when using 18v instead of 9
Now, can I run the + and - of the LED and 3PDT switch to the DC jack of the holier grail? |

I would start with a 8k to be safe...let it stay on for 5 minutes...if it's not bright, reduce the resistor. |
