2 up Octaver?

Anyone know of an Octave pedal with 1 down, 1 up and 2 up? That would be ideal, but all the pedals I see seem to have 1 up, 1 down and 2 down, and 2 down seems a bit redundant on bass, especially since I have a 5 string.

The Boss PS-6 has the features you're looking for. You can only use 2 of them combined on certain settings though.

PS-6, Whammy, and Pitchfactor I think all have two octave up options. With at least the Pitchfactor you can do dry+2 oct+1 other pitch.

EHX POG2. I use it on my jazz bass a lot. It has slider that control for 2 down, 1 down, dry signal, 1 up, and 2 up. Plus it has an attack slider to modify how much the sound swells in, an LPF, and you can save up to 8 presets. I have everything from a cello to an organ to a theremin.

EHX Pog has what you need!

Also, I owned the Boss PS-6 and while it was cool, the attack slider on the pog2 is wonderful since I use a hard attack. I can basically dial my attack down so when I hit the strings it doesn't register in 5 octaves. The PS-6 was very harsh in this manner in my opinion

+1 for the POG2.

Damn, the POG2 looks amazing, but you definitely pay for the features. I like the look of the PS-6 just for the whammy type effect.

Well worth it! I use to own one and still would if I wouldn't have upgraded to the H.O.G. Both are excellent +2 octavers:I've owned/used: Boss PS-3/5/6, Mooer Pitch Box, Eventide Pitchfactor, TREX Octavium and Digitech Whammy. EHX HOG smokes all these in tone and overall useful versatility.

Honorable mention to the Pitchfactor for awesome versatility and the PS-3 for overall craziness.

Both lack the tone that I was looking for in my pitch-shifting needs but YMMV

CHILDISHGAMBINO 01-31-2013 05:46 PM

I mostly use the PS-6 like a whammy. I don't ever use the harmony modes. I don't know enough about theory(and I don't want to)to make use of them. I use the pitch shifter somtimes. Yeah it sounds digital but it is digital so I kind of expected that. I don't have a problem with something that is digital sounding digital. What else would you expect it to sound like? As for tracking I don't have any problems at all with that.

My record so far is: -5 OCT (using a Boss OC-2 with -2 only into the HOG in octave bend (reverse) -2 and using the exp pedal to -3) and +6 OCT (using a Madbean Lowrider set to +1 into the HOG in octave bend +4 and using the exp pedal to go to +5).

Both barely audible but there!

Inexpensive Zoom B1 has a "Mono Pitch" you can set it from -12 (semitones) to +12 stepping up a semitone at a time and then a +24 for the price is worth to try you may be surprised !

Download the manual www.zoom.co.jp/download/E_B1_B1X.pdf it may be easier to get what I mean but seems to me that is just exactly what you are searching for.
