3 band parametric stomp?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have been thinking about what I want from an eq and I came to the conclusion that a three band parametric stomp with a stomp switch for each band would be really great, particularly if you could change the q of each EQ.

You could combine the three switches in 8 different ways (if my maths is right).

has anyone seen anything like this around? Is there a scematic for a parametric EQ so I could try putting three in one box?

You're not going to find an EQ pedal with each band individually switchable, but here's a 3 band para eq:

However note that even that is really only semi-parametric, having no control over bandwidth.

I recall seeing schema's for parametric EQ's over on diystompboxes.com, but they were not easy circuits. Your best non-DIY bet for three independent on/off switches over three bands would be to get more than one para EQ pedal.

Artec has a single band semi-para pedal. You could chain 3 of those together.

Hmm.... those Artecs do look good. I guess I could chain some together but they all take up space and require power.

I could start with one and see how I go...

Thanks for the replys guys. You have given me something to go on.
