3Leaf vs BassIQ vs Enigma (store in NYC?)

Sign in to disble this ad
Which one do you guys prefer?

I am thinking about getting my first envelope filter and these are the ones I am currently looking into. Price point is around $200 max and the P-Funk sound is what I am looking for.

Also, does anyone know a store in NYC that carries all of these (tried Sam Ash so far, no dice)? Or at least one that has a good selection....

Thanks!

WHICH P-funk sound? I assume you mean Bootsy but have you ay idea how many bad-ass bass players passed through that band?

SiRez - Thanks, I'll check out 30th Street.

RCCollins: ...and I am sure they all sounded great. Let's say Collins' Mothership Connection sound, to pick one.

I could be wrong, but for that sound I have a feeling that none of these pedals will give you what you want. Look at a q-tron or Maxon Af-9. These will give you the p-funk sound.

JMDT - I'll add those to my list.

3Leaf won't get you that exact sound. The enigma might be a better choice for that wetness. I like the 3Leaf a whole tons more but different strokes.

Well, I put P-Funk out there because I really like that sound; however, from all the online sound samples I have checked out I like the 3Leaf best... too bad that these decisions are never easy.
