There are similar threads but I can't find what I'm looking for. I'd really like to know how to get a bass sound like bass lines of "I wanna dance with somebody" (Whitney Houston) or "Tell it to my heart" (Taylor Dayne). It sounds like a synth keyboard to me, but does anyone know how to get sounds like this from a bass? Is that even possible? I'm guessing some kind of (envelope) filter, octaver, fuzz could be used for first song, but is there any specific effect or filter to get me close to that? What about eq-ing? Are there any typical, commonly used eq presets? If anyone has experience with that I would be very helpful. Thanks. |

@Smurf-o-Deth: if you can, it would be great! This effect is quite expensive so I assume the additional software is included, right? |

I tried to at least half-ass the line for the sake of synchronicity. If you listen to the demo on Youtube of the presets, I'm sure you'll hear it can cop that Tell It To My Heart vibe pretty easily, too (seemed unnecessary to bother with that one).
This was recorded bass --> Super Synth --> interface --> Garage Band, no pre-or-post effects.
