80's synth bass sound

I'm playing in an 80's cover band and want to capture the synthy keyboard bass sounds of the time. I'm playing a Modulus Quantum 5 and am looking for (preferably) a stombox. Don't really want or need a multi-effects processor. Does anyone have experience with either the Octavius Squeezer from Chunk Systems, or an EBS Bass IQ Triple Envelope Filter?
I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

I have the EBS BassIQ, and used together with the EBS Octabass it's real badass.

Not really synthbass, but close enough.
