Aaaawwww S***!....my poor OC-2

Sign in to disble this ad
So I just partially destroyed my BOSS OC-2 Octaver. While appyling new velcro to my pedals, I accidentally stuck velcro on the sticker of my vintage Oc-2. Of course as soon as I realized I had done it, I go and try to rip it off and along goes the sticker on the bottom Normally I wouldnt care but this octaver I guess was a vintage one. It was the japanese version but had "OCTAVER" on the front instead of "OCTAVE". I dont know if their rare but I dont see too many of em. But anyway I really just wanted to keep it in prestine condition, trying to preserve history. Has anybody else screwed up like this? Im gonna put myself in time-out now.

Sorry to hear that, I am a novice to some of the older bosses but are they worth that much?

I dont think its worth "that" much but this model is highly sought after and is no longer produced.

Then why are you trying to mount it on your pedalboard?

Pedals are meant to be used, not collected.

OMG, you really did destroy it! It is rendered useless now Seriously though, you are right. MIJ Boss pedals do sell for a bit more, not because they are collectible, but the construction is believed to be better. I do not expect them to be collector's items in the future either, as they are not rare at all (unlike some earlier Ibanez pedals). So I wouldn't worry about it.
