Cool About the Fulltone Bass Drive...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

Just wanted to share a "righteous" experience I had with a Fulltone Bass drive at GC yesterday. I got to plug this pedal into a SVT3 Pro ->610HLF->'09 MIA P-bass rig. Man was that thing cookin' I mean, once I got it dialed in, real nice gritty P-bass tone.

So it went home with me

Now some questions: My current set-up is

P-bass->Korg Pitchblack->Boss GEB7->Tech 21 VT->Sonic stomp->Amp

I plan to try placing this pedal directly after the Tech 21 VT. Will these two pedals play nice?

I'm powering these pedals with a 1spot into a 5 space daisy chain. The Fulltone can use 9V or 18V. Should I get a dedicated adapter for this pedal or can the 1spot handle it?

Thanks for reading

euhm,

I'm about to order a bassdrive mosfet from the states, and before I do, I'm interested in the same question.

Is it possible to power the bassdrive with a 9V one-spot?

thx

the bassdrive is definitely 9v daisy chain-able. you can actually run it anywhere from 9v to 18v and it'll run. i love mine. i don't know exactly how well the two pedals will play nice together, cause i don't have any experience with the vt bass. i run the sansamp bassdriver di though, and i run the fulltone first because i read in the manual that the sansamp pedal is a natural compressor. i know that the vt bass and the sansamp pedals are similar, but i don't know how similar. i would run any overdrive first in my chain to get more natural dynamic from it though. whatever sounds best to you though

When I had one I ran it at 18V. To me, at 9V it didn't have enough headroom to go from subtle to extreme overdrive, it just clipped really easily.

It was a great pedal and sound better in the mix than soloed.

I run a mosfet bassdrive into my vt. Love it. Never noticed significant low-end loss in any of my pedals. They play very nice together.
