| | | | ABY = Phase cancelation? I'm running my bass into a splitter with one line going through my effects pedals and the other the clean signal from the bass. Both then go to a Morley ABY then out to the amp. Either channel sounds fine on its own but when combined the low end drops out of the clean channel. Is this phase cancelation? If so would reversing the wires in one of the leads fix it? |

There are a few things that might help:
1. Add another reversed phase pedal to the chain.
2. Try reducing the bass EQ on the effects. It will have the opposite affect when blending with the out-of-phase clean signal.
3. Use a blender that has a phase switch.

Yes the phase is an issue, but you will continue to have problems as long as you use a passive mixer/ABY. Use an active mixer/blender instead. |

It would include a phase switch. I never implemented this master plan but you can buy an X-Blender than will cover you fine and dandy from Xoitic.
To be honest There's a device called the Schism that also does all this and just looks so great I want to buy one just to look at it.
