AC/DC (not the band) to power colorsound tonbender

So yesterday I made the purchase of the Colorsound Tonebender and have heard rumors which I am pretty sure are true about it not having an AC adaptor or DC input is this true, and if so how (once I get it in the mail) am I able to mod it to have that option because I have a big fear of me playing live and having my pedals run out of batteries. Help?

Batteries only, however you CAN get an adapter for the 9v connection and run that through your OneSpot or whatever you have.

And if so where can I purchase this?

if you have the onespot combo the adapter comes with it.
otherwise you can purchase it at samash, and probably GC (the whole combo if you want, or just the adapter)

thats the only thing I know of that adapts from battery connection to a power cord

You could also have it easily modded with a DC jack.

Any idea how I would go about doing that and how much it would cost.

I've never modded a pedal before and would be to afraid to break it.

dude don't bother modding it, you can really just buy the OneSpot pack, because I recommend it anyways, use the adapter it gives ya, and rock on fuzzy.

However cost is dependent on who does it. Like a professional is going to charge a service fee, the one I know who does GC equipment charges 35$ JUST for service. If you're savvy with a soldering iron you could do it for 4 bucks assuming you need to buy the parts.

I have em lying around my tool room somewhere.

I did the cheapie, self-sufficient One-Spot mod.

Buy that, drill hole, no more batteries!

Hmm, never seen that 1spot plug before.

I still say just cut a nick into the botton of the case and feed an adapter plug into it >.>

No, it's not something you want to do yourself if you have no electronics experience. The One Spot adapter is the easiest way to go and requires no modification. I've done mods for a few TBer's before and would not mind doing it for you cheap if you wanted it done.

Thanks for all the help guys, I think im gonna go with the one spot mod and drill a hole. Hopefully it turns out as nicely as incognito's...I've kind of wanted to get my foot in the door for modding pedals, this will be probably the easiest to start with.

it makes me wonder why they make one of the best fuzzes ever and don't include a damn LED or 9V DC jack

I was thinking exactly the same thing...especially after I just plopped down 300 smackaroos on it.

Probably because they wanted to keep in true to the originals.
