Do any of you people with the sansamp use it while having the tone knobs on your active bass boosted? I would love to be able to crank my bass wide open and kick in the sansamp whenever i want it...but it doesnt sound good like this, at least i've never discovered a good setting for it. I wish they would have an active/passive switch on 'er.

Though I can kick up my bass's preamp running through the Sansamp, I never do. Mostly because it sounds pretty bad, and I only turn my treb up a very small bit to get a lil more punch.

But I keep it flat, like the directions say to do so >.>

I have a 2-band active EQ and I push the bass up a tad and the treble ever so little. Although the manual says to keep it flat, they probably mean to be conservative about it rather than not use it at all.

I boost my mids pretty much, bass a little and cut some treble, and I like the results!
