Active expression pedal for Moogerfoogers?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does any one know of a active expression that works well with the moogerfoogers? I need something that is self powered and does not need the (ring) voltage fed back to it the way the Moog EP-2 does. This way I can use an A/B pedal to go between the LFO from the ring mod and an expression pedal to run my cutoff filter on my Moog lowpass.
Thanks.

Probably easier to make yourself (or have a custom builder build) a stereo AB box.

I don't recall ever seeing an "active" exp pedal. Making one is theoretically fairly trivial, but the mechanical side of things is very difficult to DIY.

I don't think there are any such CV pedals currently being made. I have a couple of them I purchased years ago. They are great for filter sweeps and other control of devices that require a control voltage.

Unfortunately, no standard exists for control voltage. There are pedals on the market that claim to be CV pedals, but I don't think any of them actually provide the voltage. The pedas that I have will provide 0-5 Volts, which is a fairly common, but not universal, range.
