Hmm. Lets think here. The BOSS PSA Power Adapter is a 9-volt power supply.

SansAmp Bassdriver uses 9-volts. Boss Pedals use 9-volts.

Gee, I wonder if they'll work?

Both seem to be 9volt DC.

More importantly, 9V center negative.

The short answer, I believe, is yes. That's on ereason I went with a BBE OptoStomp compressor over the Demeter. While th eDemeter might sound better - although I don't know if you'd notice in a bar - the BBE is a good one for the price and I can power it with my Boss TU-2 - like I did when I tried a BDDI.

Regarding power supplies, there's three things you need to check,

1. voltage

2. how much current does your pedal draw (it's usually written on your pedal) versus how much current the power supply can provide (written on the supply).

take note that I've never seen a pedal that needed more current than the supply can provide, most of the time, using adapters, you can power several pedals with a power supply.

3. Finally, the polarity of the center pin versus outer pin, (again written on the pedal and power supply).

DC power has a polarity, a ''+'' and a ''-'' and that polarity is important for the circuit.

Power supply brands are not important at all.

I power my Sansamp BDDI with an adapter. I had to do some investigative searching via Google to find out it is negative ground. The unit itself has no marking at all! How annoying... I suppose this is to try to force us into buying only their power adapter.

what kind of answer is this?

a couple of things:

1) 9v and 9v doesn't neccessarily mean they will work, the other comments were more helpful

2) don't be such a dick, there is nothing wrong with this question, and I have been asked a similar question to this by almost everyone I have encountered that is new to it.

I use the boss 9V adaptor, and a generic 9V adapter from radioshack, and both work on both the boss TU-2 tuner (and all boss pedals), and the Sansamp BDDI and vice-versa. It's the same 9V plug on both pedals.
