adding a volume pot?

i've seen vintage mutrons with this mod, a volume knob before the output when the effect is on.

does anyone know if this is doable on a DOD FX25? would it require modding it for true bypass as well?

i dont want a compressor, but the volume spike is a little too strong.

tried searching, redirect me if i missed something good.

If you replace R8 and R9 with a pot, you'd have a volume control. Lug 1 connects to C4, lug 2 to the junction of R8 and R9, lug 3 to ground.
