Adding a volume pot to a pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
Am I correct in thinking that in order to add a volume pot to a pedal I would need to wire the output from the circuit board to lug 2 on a pot, lug 3 to the output jack, and lug 1 to ground? Looking at schematics it looks like it is that easy but nothing's ever as easy as it looks right?

Any info would be appreciated.

lug 3 to circuit board out, lug 2 to output jack, lug 1 to ground. But you probably want to hook up the pot before the bypass switch or else it will affect the volume when the pedal is off.

Cool thanks. It really is that easy, I was just a little mixed up. I plan on making an Ampeg Scrambler clone soon and I'm kinda anal about unity gain so a volume pot seems like a good idea. You guys can expect a build thread when I'm done.
