Advanced Reverb Modelling

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi, Im trying to find a hardware version similar to this software reverb processor in Adobe Audition. The software reverb is very flexible, but too CPU intensive and laggy for live usage.

The important thing is, I need to be able to model extremely small rooms, like 10m^3.

I understand this is probably high end gear, so Ill brace myself for the cost.

Eventide Space if you are looking into pedals at all-You can get some really small room sizes if you really want, and it is easily more tweakable than anything but the most expensive/complicated rack units.

Thanks, it looks like I can get one shipped to Aus. Smaller is better, but if a rack does the job, I wouldnt rule it out

Lexicon = top of the line.
If your computer has the capability you may want to consider a sound card. It's much less expensive than hardware and takes all the processing off of the computer. UA (Universal Audio) makes fantastic cards that come with a full array of high end processing gear - convolution reverb, compressors, limiters, some really amazing EQ like Pultec and of course chorus etc. Just to give you an idea, the LA-2A compressor in hardware costs $3,000

Or you can get it in a bundle with other stuff from UA for $289.

Similarly, an EMT plate reverb from UA costs $319. The real thing requires its own isolated room and costs God only knows how many thousands:

At those rates, you can buy a new computer that is sound card capable cheaper than getting the real deal.
