Advice/Suggestions?? - multi-effect bass pedals

HI All,

Can you suggest a good floor pedal? The majority of my playing is straight amp sound with no effects but every once in a while I like to add in some chorus or delay or distortion or some combination of any of those... I already have a Line 6 Bass Floor Pod but i'm not exactly happy with it.. i don't need the modeling component.. and can't get any real delay but i do like the volume pedal.
I don't want to spend alot either.. is there anything at or below the $200 mark that will do all i want (including the volume pedal?)

I own the Zoom B3 but I found the Digitech BP 355 to be a very nice multi, and it might fit your needs.

problem with the M5 is how crap it is for switching tones quickly. i love the M9. it has a patch you can set to a volume pedal, being able to stack 3 pedals gives you a TON of options and it just WORKS.

Line6 stuff used to blow. they nailed it with the M-series.

midi. But that's another cool thing about m5/M9 is it can also be a midi controller, like controlling a BEF Pro. I have a M5 now, but I could totally see a M9-BEF Pro taking care of everything I do and then some.

If you want to have real fun, hook up a Hot Hand 3 to the M5/M9

yah. i have the HH3, i've only really used it with the BEF.... was hoping it'd be neat with the Xero, but i can't get near the fast response as i do with the BEF.

urrrrf. midi's an option.... but i would way rather have something that does switching well by itself. i hate adding a piece to make a chunk of gear useful.

and you still can't stack efx with the M5. it's a powerful little beast, but i think the M9's worth the extra space and monies. murrrrrrr?

The others seem great but maybe more than i need.. i really don't use alot of effect or shaping and really have no need for modelling so the amp/cab model options are more over kill for what i need...

I know they are older models... but found each of them at a local used gear shop

I think that the answer to everything is Zoom B3 or Line 6 M9, I've used the Zoom B3 and love it can't wait for the 6 pedals at a time update but would recomend it for anyone.

I'll chime in in favor of the B3 over the M9 as its more affordable, has better filters, and better dirt options. The amp models (especially the SVT) can be used without speaker emulation for some pretty tasty overdrive.
