Listen to Toto's Girl Goodbye. What would be the best pedal to use to emulate the opening B on bass guitar?

I can do something cool but not close enough.

Thanks!

Here's a link.

Tricky one on the effect...you could try a BMS with a squarewave-y sound and a very narrow, very fast (rate at max) filter sweep.

I agree that would be the cheapest way to get close.

I agree on the Bass Synth Wah. Very versatile pedal for cheap! And, if you are serious, I may have a mint condition one for sale in the next day or two (bought a Line6 M9)

I guess you meant Bass Microsynth? You'd be hard pushed to get anything like that tone from a BSW, it's a far too harsh and extreme sounding pedal!

Don't get me wrong, I love my BSW, it just doesn't fit this application.

Yes, sorry I meant to say EHX...started writing then got interrupted and finished with BSW on the brain.

Ah, I know the feeling! Somewhat appropriately, it reminds me of a family guy episode I saw once...
